MAP Receives APA’s Prestigious Karen B. Smith Award for Zoning Reform Toolkit
MAP is thrilled to announce that we are the recipient of the 2022 Karen B. Smith Chapter Award for Outstanding Achievement for our MSHDA funded Zoning Reform Toolkit for Housing Supply and Choice. Each year, the APA Chapter President’s Council recognizes individual APA chapters that have demonstrated outstanding performance in public outreach, service to members, professional development, and overall chapter achievement.
The MAP award is in the Outstanding Service to Members category, which recognizes innovations, programs, or new or improved services that benefit the members of a particular chapter. We are being recognized for our vision in identifying an important issue facing Michigan communities, securing funding, and developing a product that will help municipal planners identify and implement zoning reforms to increase housing supply. You can find the winning proposal, the Zoning Reform Toolkit, and supplemental web resources.
The MAP Corporate Membership provides an opportunity for members to further the association’s mission, and provides recognition to the corporate member who says: I want MAP to be more involved, I want MAP to have a louder voice. Check out MAP's current Corporate Members and learn how your company can join at this membership level.
