MAP Board Proposes Bylaw Changes 

Notice of these changes will be published in the January February 2020 issue of the Michigan Planner magazine.  You can access the proposed changes HERE.  Members may provide written comments by March 13th to Andrea Brown, MAP Executive Director at [email protected] or  present comments to the MAP Board at the March 20th meeting in Detroit at 10 AM  (location will be announced).

The proposed bylaw amendments include:

  1. Provide for the Professional Development Officer (PDO) to be an elected and voting member of the board (rather than an appointed and non-voting member.)
  2. To create two new Ex Officio appointed board positions appointed by the board for 3-year terms, non voting
    1. University faculty representation
    2. Elected or appointed official representation
  3. General reorganizing of content without change to improve flow and readability.
